COLIC!!!!!!

well, we didn't see it coming, we did expect it but it's here to haunt us.

this is how Naomi looks like normally

Naomi : so cute, pretty and serene.

when she opens her eyes, she looks like this

this is how she is during the evenings, from 7.30pm to 10.30pm or later in the night till midnight.

Naomi....she's a hand full!!! no one can say what causes colic and the worse thing there is no cure to it!!!!!it's crying session non stop and this t-Rex can roar really loud, for 3 hours!

mother-hood to a baby dino (naomi)

the blog, was actually supposed to be about geology and and prehistoric stories about dinosaurs, rocks and sediments.......but as what EVERY new parent will start.... they'll start a blog about their newborns..... i gather, they will do this for a year or two, before they give up, until they get the second child! so this is again to another new beginning..... a very tiring but rewarding one, but nevertheless challenging and patience trying. the first day of Naomi, was WOW.....thank god labour pains don't last in geologic time scale!!! God is gracious. Nov3rd 2009, Naomi Mary Thomas was born. she immediately latched and i was the happiest mother!!!! she is adorable and very cute.....only to know that in couple of weeks time, she had turned into t-rex!!!! first week she latched and didn't let go. but that was good, because milk was stimulated and breast feeding was not as hard as some say....there was enough milk for baby.

Naomi just 2 hours on earth

dad, mum and new earthling....naomi

at 1 week....... naomi was latching and growing and also turning yellow!!!! i checked as soon as she was born, she was not green and thank God she didn't have tentacles!!!!! but now....she was turning yellow. thank god the jaundice was just mild. no need for photo therapy. naomi was latching.....but non stop!!!! soreness started...and i began to understand the many woes of a mother in breast-feeding....by the grace of god, my wonderful hubs and bestest friend was there ALL the time, every minute trying to help me elevate the pain. He is such a darling!!!

naomi's 1st bath at home!!!!

changing her clothes seemed impossible..cos she was so small we thought we were going to break her limbs. little did we know later...that she LOVES bathing...... with very minimal noise from the parents, grandparents or the person bathing her......

infact, she loves silence at ALL times......so NO baby talk, or cooing....this t-rex dislikes all these immensely!!!!

at 2nd week, naomi was latching for long hours and also crying!!! ALOT!!! i know we will never know why!!! drinking was about at least 2 hours!!!!! talking about drinking machine!

at 3rd week.....she was drinking and also crying alot....but now....she also wants to be burped!!!!!!!!!! the blessed burp is more precious then diamonds i tell you!!! the sound of it is sweeter than U2's or any christmas carol!

burp!!! we need enormous amount of patience to get it out....if not we'll suffer!!! the BURP!!! it's scary!

guess who's feet are these?
i have more to write...but am just so sleepy and tired..... so will continue when..when...i don't know..maybe when i get our 2nd dino!
